Flagstaff 5 Day Explorer Brochure
2010 Flagstaff Visitor Guide
Accommodations
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ:
The planning partners for the 2010 Arizona Historic Preservation Partnership Conference have opted
to allow all participants to make individual accommodation reservations at their discretion to
offer total flexibility in the type of accommodations, locations, rates, and so forth available to
participants and guests in Flagstaff. Due to the vast array of lodging options and amenities
suitable for every taste and stay available in Flagstaff, this seemed to be the most economically
beneficial option for participants of the conference and their families and guests. Accommodation
costs are not included in the conference registration fees.
In an effort to obtain lower accommodation rates, the committee has negotiated some preferred rates
at several properties in the Flagstaff area on behalf of the conference. These rates and the type
of hotel property will vary. Please investigate them all thoroughly before making your selection.
Section I indicates a group of hotel properties that are providing promotional
consideration (either in-kind or monetary contribution) for the Historic Preservation Conference and will
receive additional promotion. This does not mean that the committee, planning partners, or other groups
affiliated with the conference offer a specific endorsement. It means that the committee has agreed to
offer greater visibility to promote their properties through the website presence and frequent emails to
interested historic preservationists. These properties receive logo recognition and a more prominent
listing. Be sure to provide the Conference Code to the reservationist at the time of reservation to
obtain the preferred rate. Notice that some properties are offering the prevailing US Government per
diem rate which is currently $95.00 per room per night plus tax. If the US Government changes this rate,
your accommodations rate may change as well.
Section II indicates a group of hotel properties that have opted to provide a
preferred conference rate but without specific benefit to the conference itself. As such, they receive a
listing on the accommodations page of the website and no further marketing value or promotion. Be sure to
provide the Conference Code to the reservationist at the time of reservation to obtain the preferred rate.
Notice that some properties are offering the prevailing US Government per diem rate which is currently $95.00
per room per night plus tax. If the US Government changes this rate, your accommodations rate may change as well.
Many properties are in historic districts or are historic themselves. Some properties may offer the current
State of Arizona per diem rate or lower rates. Please inquire at the time of reservation if this rate applies
to you. Because you are attending a state-organized event, the hotels may offer the per diem rate, subject to
availability and their individual policies. Rates at hotel properties will vary with the season. The 2010
Arizona Historic Preservation Partnership Conference is not holding a block of rooms for this purpose;
accommodations are the responsibility of each participant. Inclusion in the 2010 Arizona Historic Preservation
Partnership Conference website does not constitute an endorsement of any kind, real or implied, by the planning
partners, financial partners (aka sponsors), or conference management organizations. We encourage you to
investigate all types of accommodations, amenities, locations, rates, and so forth before making your
reservations. It is also good practice to obtain a confirmation number and/or printed confirmation of your
reservation to present to the front desk upon arrival. And finally, be sure to inquire as to the complimentary
amenities such as breakfast, parking, and other offerings from each property.
It is possible to find attractive accommodations rates through promotions available on-line at
various travel sites such as Expedia, Travelocity, and Priceline, among others. If you choose to
consult one of these travel sites, or your personal or organization’s travel agent, be aware that
some require full pre-payment at the time of reservation and may have cancellation penalties or
fees. It is highly recommended that you read and understand all rules and regulations, and terms
and conditions of these sites before reserving hotel accommodations or other travel-related
services. You may also find promotional rates through the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors
Bureau website listed below. Be sure to ask for AAA Discounts at the time of reservation if you
are a current AAA member.
This list of hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, and other types of accommodations comes from the
kind folks at the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau. All properties indicated on this list
are current members of the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau with AAA Ratings at the time
the website was deployed for the 2010 Historic Preservation Conference. This status may change
at any time without notice. Please visit their website for more information about members’
accommodations and other related services, recreation, etc.:

questions@azpreservation.com for assistance.
Thank you.
